Geoffrey is the Managing Directorof the firm and is involved in both our tax and attest services departments. Heworks closely with high net worth individuals and their families to meet theirtax compliance needs while developing strategies designed to take intoconsideration retirement and estate plans with the objective of reducing theoverall tax burden. In addition, Geoffrey assists closely held businesses withtheir accounting, tax, and financial reporting needs. This process often beginswith advice regarding entity structure and related tax implications as well asestablishing appropriate accounting systems. We have been fortunate to help ourclients grow from start-up businesses to successful entities and ultimately areable to assist them with their succession plans.Our attest department routinelyperforms audits, reviews, compilations, and other services to help our clientsmeet their financial reporting obligations. We service a wide variety ofindustry groups.Geoffrey has been a licensed CPA since1996 and is a graduate of Gettysburg College where he earned a Bachelor of Artsin Management with concentrations in accounting/finance and entrepreneurship.
Brian leads Kreischer Miller’s Business Advisory group, which offers an array of services including M&A/transaction advisory, business valuation, transition/exit planning, and ESOP consulting. Brian is experienced in business valuations, transition planning, due diligence, and merger and acquisition activities. He helps his clients by actively working with them to solve issues, provide recommendations, and offer opportunities for success. Brian’s experience includes working with a variety of privately-held and family-owned businesses such as manufacturers, distributors, professional service companies, and internet based organizations. In addition, Brian has a wide range of experience providing audit, review, and tax services to closely-held corporations. He also serves as a member of the firm’s Manufacturing Industry group as well as in the ESOP specialty area.
Geoffrey W. Smith has over 25 years of public accounting experience in federal, state and local taxation as well as transactional structuring. Geoff has a broad base knowledge concerning the taxation of individuals, corporations and partnerships across a wide range of industries including manufacturing, real estate, lifesciences and technology and healthcare. Geoff is the author and frequent speaker on individual, pass-through and corporate tax topics.
Anthony has spent the past 22 years specializing in individual tax for high-net-worth taxpayers and is involved in all aspects of tax planning for a diverse client base that includes individuals, trusts, partnerships, and S-Corporations. He works closely with clients to minimize tax liabilities through detailed family and business planning, and by taking a multi-generational approach to family wealth transfers. Before starting his own tax practice in 2013, Anthony spent 14 years at two Big 4accounting firms in the Philadelphia area, where he ultimately led the Private Client Services Group.
